I used to dread September and going back to school, but this year was different. I did go back to school, but as a teacher. I taught a class this past month at the Providence center in Millersville. It was an art class for adults with special needs. It was inspiring to watch these folks create. Not only were they able to overcome thier limitations, they were so warm and open. They worked with such unpremeditated abandon. It really made me think about how I made things when I was younger... Watching them brought me back to a part of myself that was lying dormant and I am so grateful to them for that.
